Bayu Permata
Benefits of Bayu Permata

Why Choose Us

A different kind of financial education.

Bayu Permata occupies a narrow space — and intentionally so. We do one thing carefully rather than many things broadly.

Our Advantages

Six things that define how we work.

No product sales, ever

Our facilitators hold no commission or referral relationships with any financial institution. The only thing we sell is education — at a transparent fee, stated in full before enrolment.

Cohorts capped at fifteen

Every group session has a maximum of fifteen participants. This is a structural limit, not a marketing claim. It means each participant's questions receive attention in every session.

Qualified, experienced facilitators

All facilitators hold relevant professional credentials — CFP (FPAM), CMSRL (SC Malaysia), or formal adult education qualifications — and bring prior careers in finance or learning design.

Malaysian instruments throughout

EPF, KWSP, SC-regulated unit trusts, Amanah Saham, BURSA-listed ETFs, and ringgit-denominated instruments are the reference points in every programme. Not abstract theory from other markets.

Writing exercises in every programme

Each programme includes structured writing work between sessions. Participants leave with a document that records their own financial picture in their own words — not a generic template, but a personal reference.

Paced for sustained understanding

The programme lengths — three weeks, eight weeks, five months — are not compressed. There is time between sessions for material to be read, considered, and applied to one's own situation before the next session begins.

In Depth

What each advantage means in practice.

Professional expertise — not borrowed authority

Financial education in Malaysia is sometimes delivered by individuals whose primary credential is their own investment experience, positive or otherwise. Bayu Permata's facilitators hold formal qualifications from the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) and the Securities Commission. They understand EPF regulations, SC-registered investment structures, and BNM guidelines because they have worked within those frameworks professionally, not merely read about them.

  • CFP and CMSRL credentials held by facilitators
  • Annual curriculum review against current regulatory frameworks
  • Prior careers in Malaysian financial services or adult education

Teaching method — built for adults returning to learning

Most of our participants have not been in a formal learning environment for two or three decades. The Bayu Permata approach acknowledges this. Sessions move from familiar concepts outward. Written exercises between sessions serve as consolidation, not assessment — there is no grading, no passing or failing, no performance anxiety built into the design. The writing is for the participant's benefit, not ours.

  • Adult learning principles applied throughout
  • No assessments or examinations
  • Written exercises serve consolidation, not grading

Programme support — available throughout, not just in sessions

Between sessions, participants can reach the facilitator by email with questions arising from the written exercises or from the reading materials. This is not a formal tutoring arrangement but a practical acknowledgement that questions do not always arise at convenient times. We aim to respond within two working days.

  • Between-session email access to facilitator
  • Two working day response commitment
  • Written materials available for review after programme ends

Pricing — transparent and complete

The fee for each programme covers all sessions, all written materials, and all between-session facilitator access. There are no module fees, no supplementary material charges, and no upselling to higher tiers. RM 530 for the introductory programme is the full cost. RM 1,790 and RM 2,610 for the subsequent programmes are complete figures.

  • All-inclusive fees with no hidden charges
  • Prices published in full before enrolment
  • No tiered upselling between or within programmes

Outcomes — measured in clarity, not returns

We do not measure our programmes by the investment returns participants subsequently achieve. Financial markets are not within our control, and claiming otherwise would be dishonest. What we aim to produce is clearer thinking: participants who understand their own situation, can evaluate financial products and advice on their own terms, and approach their finances with greater composure than before they joined.

  • Personal financial document produced by programme end
  • Ability to evaluate investment product disclosures independently
  • Framework for continued financial attention after programme closes

What Sets Us Apart

The things we do that few others do at all.

The personal financial document

Every Bayu Permata participant leaves with a written record of their own financial picture, assembled during the programme through structured exercises. It belongs entirely to them. It is not a questionnaire we retain; it is a working document they keep and revise as their circumstances evolve.

Mentor-led individual track

The pre-retirement programme is the only one of its kind in our market that provides a five-month individual mentor track at this price point — monthly private sessions, a formal midway review, and a written closing summary specific to the participant's situation.

Bilingual session capability

All facilitators are fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. While written materials are in English, participants are welcome to discuss concepts and ask questions in either language during group or private sessions without needing to translate their thinking first.

No group disclosure of personal figures

In group sessions, participants are never asked to share specific financial figures with the group. Exercises involve each person's own private record only. The group discussions are conceptual; the personal application is private. This is by design, not oversight.
